Reviewing City Response to the 27th Street Explosion - A Year Later

Immediately following the major fireworks explosion on June 30, 2021 – on 27th Street in South Los Angeles – numerous agencies of the City of LA and nonprofit partners reached out with helping hands to all those affected by the tragedy. Their efforts have included housing and rehousing, cleaning and repairs, securing private property, and processing hundreds of damage claims. That work continues today with no less emphasis and effort.
