L.A. Tsunami Advisory Canceled

Tsunami Advisory for US West Coast / Advisory for all coastal areas of southern California. A tsunami advisory is now in effect for the LA County coastline. Please monitor local news reports and social media.

UPDATE on July 30 at ~5:20 AM: The National Weather Service reported that a Tsunami Advisory is NO LONGER IN EFFECT Ventura and LA counties.

NOTE: Though potential tsunami effects from a massive ~8.8 magnitude earthquake off the Russian coast on the evening of July 29 were expected to be nominal for LA City coastal areas, residents were warned to remain alert and avoid beaches, harbors, marinas, through Wednesday AM hours.
