Storm Recovery Resources
UPDATE: In mid-April, President Biden declared that a major disaster exists in California and ordered Federal assistance to supplement recovery efforts in areas affected by severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides from January 31 to February 9. Read the full text announcement.
Eligibility for this assistance will be based on the extent of damages incurred, by local area. Currently, the declaration authorizes supplemental grants to local governments. If additional programs become available -- such as individual assistance programs for members of the public -- updates will be provided here.
As these programs unfold, Los Angeles City residents and business owners affected by record-setting February 2024 storms can find other assistance services and resources provided by City, County, California state and federal agencies - as well as other organizations - through the links provided below.
For information on remaining February storm impacts within the City, refer to Emergency Management Updates.
Now that you've completed the LA County Damage Assessment Survey, what are the next steps in the recovery process?
Disaster recovery can be a lengthy process that does not tend to have a set end date. This graphic - Recovery Roadmap - gives context to the tentative recovery process required for the 2024 February Storms. Read more details here.
LA City residents are encouraged to connect with MyLA311 if they require non-emergency assistance.
